PQC Painting Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 54 679 779 241) is a painting contractor based in Kingsgrove, NSW. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" means PQC Painting Solutions.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the privacy law that applies to private businesses in New South Wales.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote, carry out and manage our work. This may include:

• Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and company or strata scheme.
• Property and project details such as the site address, access arrangements, scope of works, photos and plans you send us.
• Billing details needed to issue quotes and invoices. We do not store card numbers on this website.
• Job application details such as your resume, work history, licences, tickets and referees.
• Website data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, unless it is needed for a role or site safety and you agree to provide it.

03How we collect it

Most information comes straight from you when you fill in a form on this website, email or call us, meet us on site, or apply for a job. We may also receive your details from a strata manager, building manager, builder or property manager who engages us for works at your property.

You can contact us without giving your name where that is practical. To prepare a quote or carry out works, we will need your contact details and the property address.

• To respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
• To schedule and carry out works, including coordinating access and letting residents know about upcoming works.
• To issue invoices and keep business records.
• To assess job applications.
• To meet our legal obligations, including work health and safety, tax and licensing requirements.
• To understand how people use our website and improve it.

We only send news and updates if you have ticked the box to receive them. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

05Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it where needed for the purposes above, with:

• Our staff, subcontractors and suppliers working on your project.
• The strata manager, building manager, builder or property owner involved in the works.
• Our accountant, insurers and legal advisers.
• Service providers who host our website, email and business software.
• Government bodies or regulators where the law requires it.

06Information stored overseas

Our website runs on Squarespace, which stores form submissions and website data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. Some of our email and software providers may also store data overseas. We use established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

07Cookies

This website uses cookies to keep it working properly and to measure visits through Squarespace analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

08Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This includes password protected accounts and limiting access to the people who need it.

We keep information only as long as we need it for our work or as required by law, such as tax and business records. After that, we securely delete or destroy it.

If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will let you know as soon as possible and tell you what steps to take.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days, and there is no charge to make a request.
